There are many activities in the park to keep you and the kids occupied and happy. Tubes are available for rent so that everyone can enjoy a lazy ride down the white water rapids. But try to arrive at the rental area before breakfast to pick up your tubes and helmets, because the line starts forming bright and early, and you don't want the tubes to run out before you get to the front of the line.
At the end of the white water rafting there is a bus to catch which will take you back to the beginning of the ride. But if you would rather just be lazy and rest in your tube, there is lots of space in the water to just lie back and relax while you drift around gazing at the scenery.
At the quarry itself, which is surrounded by cliffs that are 40 feet high, you can swim in the cool, deep water or you can enjoy cliff jumping if the mood strikes. There are many trails weaving through the woods at the edge of the high cliffs above the white water and the river. These trails make for great hiking through the wooded camp grounds of the park. The smell of campfires burning, early in the morning and in the evening, are very inviting and often you will catch the scent of coffee freshly brewing.
The video below is one I took while hiking past a large area of wild snap dragons. It was bee feeding time. Please enjoy the video.
