![]() This is Finn's first year at school and he is so excited. Finn's human family is made up of mom and dad and Alex and Abby. Finn has always been home alone during the day when everyone else was either going to school or going to work or just running around doing errands. He felt left out and he was forced to lie around in his crate for many long hours waiting for Alex and Abby to come home and let him out so he could run around and play. But this year the family has decided to put him in Doggy Kindergarten. He has been busy getting all the gear that he will need for school. And now that it is the night before his first day, he has decided to get a bath. He wants to be clean and fresh smelling. Finn doesn't want the other dogs avoiding him because he smells yucky. Finn's next job is to try on some of his clothes. He worries that some things might be too small or might be in need of repair. ![]() Finn tries on his raincoat just in case he needs to wear it to school one day. The next morning, Finn climbs up on Alex's chair to check the time and make sure he isn't late. And when the day is over and he is home at last, Finn is happy to get a big snuggle from Abby. School was fun, but home is much better. He feels safe and warm once more.
Stay tuned to find out if FINN is going to like going to school everyday. See if he meets any friends, or if he feels like he doesn't fit in with the crowd. Will he have lots of new adventures?

AuthorJean Horst is a mom and grammy living along the sandy shores of Lake Huron in the summer. The rest of the time, when I'm not travelling to get new ideas for children's books, I live in Waterloo, Ontario Canada. I love writing kids books. My reward is seeing the smiles on the faces of children. |
